Memory

The terms “storage/memory” refer to the parts of a digital computer that retain physical state (data) for some interval of time, possibly even after electrical power is turned off. A system's memory is crucial to its operation, without memory, a system could not read programs or retain data. Memory is classified into volatile and non-volatile memory.
